Fried mozzarella with Marinara Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 12 mozzarella stick
  • 1 cup italian breadcrumns
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions:

  1. Mix together the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
  2. Place the breadcrumbs mixture and eggs in two separate dishes.
  3. Dip the mozzarella stick in breadcrumbs then eggs. Make sure you cover the entire area of mozzarella.
  4. Dip the mozarella sticks back to the breadcrumbs and carefully place in a clean dish.
  5. Do this until you finish all the cheese sticks. Place in the fridge for two hours or overnight.
  6. Deep fry the cheese sticks in medium high heat. Make sure the oil is hot enough to fry the cheese stick. If the oil is not hot enough it will absorb the oil and the cheese will start to ooze out and it will be soggy.
  7. Transfer the fried mozarella stick to a plate.
  8. Serve the cheese while warm with marinara sauce (recipe in my site, too)

Note:

You can also leave the cheese sticks in the freezer.
