Here’s my mom’s amazing fruit salad recipe! This is one of her favorite salad recipes, one she loves to make for special guests. Every ingredient I listed here is exactly what she uses…with the exception of the kiwi! In my opinion, the citrusy notes of the oranges needed to be balanced with something creamier, cue the avocado! Mom, if you’re seeing this, I hope you like it!
Ingredients:
- 1 apple, cored and cubed
- 1 bosc pears, peeled and cubed
- 2 avocados, cut into chunks
- 1 can mandarin oranges or fresh oranges
- 4 oz red seedless grapes, cut in halves
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar ( preferably braggs)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Szechuan pepper
Direction:
- In a bowl, whisk the olive oil, vinegar, sugar, and salt until thick.
- In another bowl, add all the fruits and toss it with the dressing.
- Sprinkle some ground szechuan pepper on top.
- Place in the fridge for an hour before serving. Enjoy!
