The first time I had a banana cream pie was when we went to a party and one of the friends brought this amazing dessert and it was an instant hit! So I made my own version based on how I remember the taste. This is as close as I can get to that wonderful cream pie!

Ingredients:
- 1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 pkgs (3.4oz) banana or vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp banana flavor or vanilla extract
- 2 bananas, sliced thinly
- 3/4 cup vanilla wafer
Directions:
- Crush the graham crackers in a food processor. Make sure to leave some chunks.
- In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and has no more lumps.
- Add the banana pudding mix and milk. Beat until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream and sugar until you reach a soft peak. Fold half into the pudding batter. Reserve half for topping.
- Add the chopped banana (leave some for the toppings, too! ) and fold gently.
- Add half of the crushed vanilla wafers and combine with the mixture.
- Using a spatula flatten the top of the pudding and add the remaining whipping cream on top.
- Add the remaing crushed vanilla wafer.
- Arrange the remaing sliced banana on top.
- Refrigerate overnight before serving.
