I learned this dish from my mom when I was very young and this was my specialty dish at the time! I said that because my younger brother Genesis was my ultimate enemy when we were young. We barely got along BUT when I made this dish and he smelled it, whatever argument we had at the time was over for him! True story!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pork shoulder, cut into cubes
- 1/2 lb calf liver, cut into cubes
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 lemon
- 1 head garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 medium sized russet potatoes
- 2 medium sized carrots
- 3 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper
