Salmon Burger with Homemade Dressing

After making baked salmon one night, I had some left over. And what did I do? I used the remaining fish by flaking it, and the result is this delicious burger!

Ingredients:

For the patty:

  • 12 oz salmon fillet, cooked
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp honey mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tsp pickle juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup italian bread crumbs

For the dressing:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce (optional)

For the sandwich:

  • Brioche or hamburger buns
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes, sliced

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, add salmon flakes and check for bones.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Mix well to combine.
  4. Make a patty the size of a regular hamburger.
  5. In a heated pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and fry the salmon patty until golden brown on each side. Set aside.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha, and ketchup. This is your dressing.
  7. Assemble by spreading some of the dressing on both side of the bread.
  8. Add the salmon patty, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce on top.
  9. Enjoy!
