Shrimp Alfredo

Creamy and delicious, this recipe is sure to leave you feeling full! However, unlike many of my other recipes, this one won’t be a low-calorie option. But if you’re only here to eat what tastes good, or it’s cheat day (we won’t tell!), then follow the steps below and enjoy the results!

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fettucine pasta
  • 5 cloves garlic, grated
  • 12 oz shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp chicken flavor
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 8 oz cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • Pepper flakes

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package directions.
  2. In a heated saute pan, add the olive oil and garlic. Saute until the garlic is soft.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook for 4 minutes, each side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  4. Add the heavy cream and butter. Cook in a medium low heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Do not let it boil.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the parmesan cheese. Whisk until smooth. Cook for a few more minutes.
  7. Add the cooked pasta, shrimp, and cherry tomatoes. Stir until combine.
  8. Add the parsley. Stir and cook for few more minutes.
  9. Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top and serve.
  10. Enjoy!
