Creamy and delicious, this recipe is sure to leave you feeling full! However, unlike many of my other recipes, this one won’t be a low-calorie option. But if you’re only here to eat what tastes good, or it’s cheat day (we won’t tell!), then follow the steps below and enjoy the results!
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fettucine pasta
- 5 cloves garlic, grated
- 12 oz shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp chicken flavor
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 3 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 8 oz cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- Pepper flakes
Directions:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package directions.
- In a heated saute pan, add the olive oil and garlic. Saute until the garlic is soft.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 4 minutes, each side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
- Add the heavy cream and butter. Cook in a medium low heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Do not let it boil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the parmesan cheese. Whisk until smooth. Cook for a few more minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta, shrimp, and cherry tomatoes. Stir until combine.
- Add the parsley. Stir and cook for few more minutes.
- Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top and serve.
