Buttermilk Fried Chicken

Who doesn’t like fried chicken? A lot of people have their own version or recipe for good fried chicken, and this one’s mine! I promise this recipe won’t disappoint. This chicken is moist on the inside, crispy on the outside! I can’t have enough of this chicken, it’s so good!

Ingredients:

  • 5 pcs chicken legs or thighs
  • buttermilk
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

For the batter:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chicken flavor
  • 4 eggs

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, add buttermilk, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine.
  2. Add the chicken, making sure it’s submerged.
  3. Refrigerate overnight.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place in a colander to drain.
  5. In a bowl, add eggs and beat well.
  6. In another dish, add all the ingredients for the batter except for the eggs. Mix well to combine.
  7. Roll the chicken in the batter until the entire chicken is covered.
  8. Dip the chicken in beaten eggs.
  9. Roll back to the batter.
  10. Deep fry until golden brown.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
