Hummus and Pita Chips

You just cant’ have enough of this super healthy dip! We tried it with peppers, celery stick and sliced apple. They all just taste good with almost everything! I loved the one Costco sells in a small pack that our friend gave us to try and I just had to copy it! This recipe is really close to that one. I don’t wanna brag, but this is for me “THE” best hummus recipe you’ll ever try! I promise!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15oz) canned chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup reserved liquid
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 /8 tsp ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Drain the chickpeas and reserve 1/3 cup of the liquid.
  2. In a blender, add the rest of ingredients. Process until smooth. Thats it!
  3. Serve with pita chips or toasted baguette!
