Omelette

The “secret” to making a perfect omelette is to simply use a nonstick pan. With a nonstick pan, it is much easier to flip the omelette. On that note, although most omelette recipes are as a simple as just ham, eggs, and cheese, I prefer mine loaded with more ingredients! These ingredients will stick to any other normal pan, so go nonstick!

Serves 8.

Ingredients:

  • 10 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup ham, diced
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 cup spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp spring onion or chives, finely chopped
  • 5 tbsp margarine (or butter)

Directions:

  • Whisk together the eggs and milk.
  • Preheat your pan and add 1 tbsp butter.
  • Add about 1/4 cup of the egg mixture. Swirl it around until the the egg is almost dry.
  • Sprinkle cheese over the eggs.
  • Add the ham, mushrooms, spinach, and red bell pepper.
  • Fold into halves (see below).
  • Flip it over and cook for a few more minutes on medium low heat.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and green onions on top if you prefer.
  • Enjoy with coffee or hot cocoa!
