This condiment is good with any kind of dish that needs a kick and sweetness. It’s good with sandwiches, barbecue and fried foods!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs jalapeños
- 1 medium sized carrot
- 1 shallot, sliced thinly
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
- 4 habanero peppers
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp salt
Directions:
- Wash and slice the jalapeños.
- Add the chopped carrots, onions, and garlic.
- In a pot, add the water , apple cider, sugar, turmeric, and salt. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Add the jalapeño mixture. Stir and simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Turn the heat off and allow to cool.
- Transfer into a clean jar and close the lid.
- Place in the fridge until its ready to use.
