T-bone Steak with Brown Rice and Veggies

When you’re having a steak for dinner, the most simple seasoning is the best! Pair it with sauteed rice and fresh vegetables for a quick, easy, delicious dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 2 pcs t-bone steak
  • Montreal steak seasoning
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups brown rice
  • 1 tbsp italian seasonings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • Chopped fresh vegetables (green, red, yellow bell pepper)
  • olive oil

Directions:

  1. In a heated pot, add 3 tbsp olive oil.
  2. Add the italian seasonings and saute for a few seconds.
  3. Add the rice, salt, and pepper. Saute the rice on high heat until the rice is opaque, this should take about 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Add the chicken stock. Bring to a boil and simmer until the rice has absorb all the liquid and tender.
  5. In a heated pan, add 2 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp butter.
  6. When the oil is hot add the steak and cook for 5 to 8 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer the steak into a dish and add 1 tbsp butter on top of each steak. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve the steak with rice and veggies. Enjoy!
